How to print labels on a DYMO 4XL

The LabelWriter 4XL prints 4×6 labels at 300 DPI. BarcodeStack's DYMO presets are built at that exact resolution (1200 × 1800 dots for 4×6), so you can design in the browser and only touch DYMO software to hit Print.

  1. 1

    Pick the DYMO preset

Choose “30857 XL Shipping 4 × 6"” (or any DYMO size — all are 300 DPI).

  2. 2

    Design or merge

Design one label, or import a spreadsheet of orders with {{name}}, {{address}} placeholders.

  3. 3

    Export the PDF

Export → PDF gives an exact 4 × 6" file.

  4. 4

    Print via the DYMO driver

Print the PDF, select the LabelWriter 4XL, choose 1744907 (4×6) media, scale 100%.

Good to know

  • Always print at 100% / “Actual size”. “Fit to page” rescales the PDF and breaks both label dimensions and barcode scannability.
  • DYMO rolls are direct thermal — no ink; the printhead needs genuine or good-quality compatible stock.
  • Print one label and test-scan any barcode before running a full batch.

Only its driver for the final Print step. All design, barcodes, and batch merging happen in the browser.
Will address labels work too?
Yes — every LabelWriter size (30252, 30321, 30330…) is in the size catalog at 300 DPI.
