Frequently asked questions
- Can I buy postage or print a real carrier label here?
- No. BarcodeStack draws the label — sender and recipient blocks, service and handling text, and a Code 128 barcode for a tracking number you already have. Postage and the carrier's own routing barcode come out of the carrier's or marketplace's shipping software. Print those there and use BarcodeStack for the rest of what goes on the box.
- Is a 4×6 the same on a 203 DPI Rollo as on a 300 DPI DYMO 4XL?
- The physical stock may be 4 × 6 inches on both printers, but the dot grids differ: 812 × 1218 at 203 DPI and 1200 × 1800 at 300 DPI. The DYMO 1744907 preset describes 4 × 6 stock. Select the actual printer resolution before designing, and review dimensions, barcode modules and placement again after changing size or DPI. Test the exported result on your exact printer and stock.
- Can I send the label straight to a Zebra instead of printing a PDF?
- A compatible ZPL printer can receive a reviewed job through a supported connection or the manufacturer's tools. Review conversion warnings, destination, dimensions, DPI and total copies first, then authorize a one-label test. Do not automatically forward API responses or retry a job whose delivery is uncertain. See the direct-ZPL printing guide for the checks and connection limits.
- Can I print these in bulk from a spreadsheet?
- Import a local spreadsheet or paste private data, then put {{column}} placeholders in text or barcode values. Imports support up to 5,000 rows within file and cell limits; export large jobs in smaller ranges within the output limits. Use a Google Sheets link only for data already intended to be accessible to anyone with that link. Review the values and test a label before a batch.
- How do I check the printed size?
- Select the measured stock dimensions and your printer's actual resolution. Exported PDF dimensions follow your selection, but drivers, scaling and media feed affect the result. Print at 100% scale (Actual size), measure a sample and test-scan each barcode before a batch.
